Home Sweet Home!

We arrived back home very late last night, after midnight. This morning when we went out on the patio and roof terrace we saw the results of what must have been a storm with rain which had blown in sand from the deserts and everything was covered in thick, fine orange sand! Just what we needed on top of unpacking and a list of other things to do. Bb tackled the roof terrace and I the patio. Bb's job included tying back up the shading on the terrace as the wind had torn it down - it's kind of on its last legs, but he did a dry good repair job! The patio included tidying up the plants, weeding etc and as I gave that priority, it's only been swept and the furniture cleaned and stacked. The scrubbing of the tiles will need to wait till tomorrow. The plants have survived quite well though and it's warm enough to sit outside now during the day. Not that we did today!

The leaves on our aloe vera plant (on the right) are very heavy and hanging, but still seem seem healthy and plump. Not sure if we should be doing something with it.
