Plethora of pine cones

On my way back from checking out the bluebells on Rivey Hill I was amazed at the number of these that have appeared on the green over the road.  I suppose it's the warm weather over the weekend drying them out and then the wind today making them fall.

In such quantity these were more striking (I haven't really done it justice) - so you may get bluebells another day.
