"Getting to know you"

As the weather was a bit better this morning, we re-visited Linlithgow and were rewarded with views of two pairs of Grebes apparently still in the courtship stage. so no little grebelings for a while yet then.
On the way home we detoured back up to Haining Wood and again were rewarded. Those bluebells were much more evident as seen in today's extra shot. But why, oh why, do we need to approach this bluebell wood by a very rough path scattered with broken glass and other nasties and decorated with a couple of burned out old cars?
