New Brighton Pier

I spent some time this afternoon with my sister, while the boys went to the Movies and saw Skyfall. My sister had some shopping to do, so on the way to the mall, we went via the New Brighton Pier. There were quite a few people on the Pier, some fishing, some just enjoying the walk to the end of the Pier, and others just enjoying the view. New Brighton was one of the worse suburbs affected by the Earthquakes, but it is amazing that the Pier seemed to be untouched.

Now that I am all shopped out, it is time to return home tomorrow. It has been a good wee break away from the farm, and so nice to catch up with family prior to Christmas.
