Watching the Ships Roll away
We had a lazy day today.
The kids were shattered from their weekend in Edinburgh, which included Karaoke (He's sung before he has)... a bit of psychotherapy which resulted in J going up and singing too. Go on my kids!!! They also had a meet up with two of Boy's mates from School (well one of them was actually the boy next door. ) - and they went to the 10pm Ghost tour which took in the Covenanters Prison.
Am totally delighted that J was happy to laze in her Jammies all day - and watch Boy play keepie up with his football. We grazed food all day, and finished off with a Roast. Boy was desperate for one, Jess had never had one. We reckon that despite there being 12 roast potatoes we were probably 12 short. Honey Glazed Parsnips and Carrots, And Yorkie Duffs and gravy and a nice dose of Red Vino - all eaten in the garden in the sunshine made it perfect.
Boy and I had a moment tonight.
We've had intermittent problems with getting the drone going, and we installed the software onto my Phone and hey presto no problems.
He did a test run - from our house to the beach. 460 yards. What shots. We all stood on the back door step and gazed in awe at the shots which were coming back.
We had tried to get it to fly over the shore at Troon the night before and couldn't make it fly - I suggested that we try again quickly, before the sun set.
So the two of us set off - leaving J in her Jammies with S watching the TV and enjoying each others company.
Boy and I reached the shore and fired up the drone - only to discover that we were in a no-fly zone...... oh oh... but we did get round that, legally (I'm still waiting on the MIB coming to get me....) This shot is as the drone flew over the top of us out towards the sunset and along the coast.
we then had a wee run round the town, which was something we always loved doing when we were doing sport clubs drop offs and pick ups.
We stopped by the school and were sad we had used all the juice up on the drone, because a fly past that dome would have been splendid.
All in all a most lovely night, and no tears!
