Corvus frugilegus

I went to see Mum and Dad for a coffee today and took my camera, as I often do, in case the local rooks put in an appearance. For some reason (probably the camera), they usually avoid me, but today they turned up along with various other corvids (crows, jackdaws) and garden birds (blackbirds, goldfinches, great tits, robins). I do love rooks: they have a lot of character which, as you can see in the picture, extends to their feet. I think their beaks are their best feature, though.
