Love Nest

Ollie dog and I got blown by Storm Hannah along the towpath at Parndon this afternoon. I was hoping that there might be cygnets to photograph by the little bridge but one of the adult swans is still sitting on their huge nest.

I read that Storm Hannah was likely to blow birds' nests out of the trees. A bit far-fetched I thought until I found one on the ground in Butterfly Alley. I'm hoping it was a lardy's (last year's).
