St Lucy's Day
The shortest day of the year. But this chapel is not dedicated to Lucy, but to St Margaret of Scotland. It sits at the top of the hill within Edinburgh Castle, and it is the oldest surviving building in Edinburgh.
An example of Romanesque architecture, it was constructed in the 12th century, but fell into disuse after the Reformation. It is used today for small, intimate weddings, etc.
