Think We’ll Both Sleep Well Tonight

This morning China and I went out for a hack with Lucie on her mum’s horse Boo. When I had Johnny we would hack all the time and would go for miles, the longest being a 25 mile ride, taking most of the day...and Johnny loved it and I could take him on his own or with anyone else!

China is slightly different in that he is not so keen on hacking out and certainly not on his own, he needs to be with another sensible horse that he can gain security from. So it’s quite a slow process to build his confidence out hacking to get to the point where we are not relying on others. Today’s hack was the longest we had ever done, through the village, along the main road and onto the disused railway track. He was so good, didn’t put a foot wrong, even leading some of the way and we both really enjoyed it...think we’ll both sleep well tonight!
