Stand and Deliver

What you see before you is a 'large' soda and lime. It cost me... £2.10! Ridiculous! Some soda water and a splash of lime cordial and I'm paying £2.10? If this was the real Wild West then I'd have definitely have been held-up and robbed at gun-point.

As you can see from the 'Thirsty Cowboys' menu this was a Western themed bar/restaurant - all the waiters in Cowboy waistcoats and Cowboy hats... It was unimaginably cheesey and as a result unimaginably shit.

After having the pleasure of trading my entire student loan for my drink, they then had the tenacity to play some Shania Twain over the stereo. It would appear I stumbled upon the only 'Brokeback Mountain' themed bar in existence. Well done me...

This evening I was playing 'Taxi Driver' whilst my Mum was at her work Christmas-do. Enjoying enough alcohol as to make it illegal for her to drive, I offered to give her a lift to and from the restaurant.

Whilst she was enjoying the meal and the company of co-workers I holed up in a nearby bar. I finished watching 'Project X' and then proceeded to do exactly 15 minutes of work before deciding that it was too taxing, and my time would be better spent reading a book.

Ah, student life.
