RRS Discovery

The Dundee waterfront isn't all about the V&A. Next to it sits Royal Research Ship Discovery and the Discovery Point centre. Discovery was built in Dundee and launched in 1901 as part of the Antarctic expedition. The last traditional three masted ship to be built in the UK. The rigging is a thing of beauty. Discovery has a very long and distinguished history and has been back in Dundee since the 1980s.

Working in Dundee today. Every time I do this I learn something new. It's another lovely day so I'll be out in the garden this evening I hope.
