Rhubarb!
The youngest spent the afternoon with Granny and Grandpa, everyone seemed to have a good time. I arrived to find the youngest crashed out on the sofa, the eldest was absolutely delightful in giving him a very quiet, calm cuddle to say hello. Managed to get the youngest home still fast asleep, he almost woke up as I got him into the car, but went back to sleep and didn't stir when we got back. Phew.
Granny told me about a farmer who had rhubarb for sale by the side of the road - amazingly, I had just enough small change to get a bundle. I love the stuff - tomorrow evening is lined up to make rhubarb relish. Yum. Thought it made a lovely picture.
In other news, the eldest was one of a very few children who had a trip out from nursery today to the pet shop to help buy some fish. He has been spell-bound by the whole thing - yesterday the tank arrived and when I collected him, I had to feel the water temperature as he explained the water was getting to the right temperature. Today I had to do a full fish inspection. He is very, very into the whole thing.
