Bergen
This was the only cloudy day in our week long cruise and annoyingly has interrupted my blue coloured blips this week!
We arrived into Bergen early in the morning, the last port of call.
Another opportunity to leave the cruise ship and explore another bit of Norway. We found the entrance to the funicular railway which took us to the top of this rugged hill. You can see the track and the viewing point in this photo.
Throughout the week, I was always amazed at the way so many buildings are built clinging to the cliffs. The views over the city were good but the lack of sunshine made us realise how blessed we had been to have had perfect, cloudless weather for the rest of the week. Everywhere looks so much better in the sunshine.
Added a few extras: view from the top and the area known as Bryggen - by the dock, a World Heritage Site dating back to 1702. It's undergoing some renovation at the moment but is a very photogenic part of Bergen.
The extra with the bikes is especially for jophreeves :)
