The First at Beau

Out for an early walk I found myself on the edge of Beaudesert Golf Club.  The path that runs alongside and through parts of the course is fairly open and I wondered whether you could walk across the fairways.  Well when I saw a local walking his two dogs across the course and the green staff happily waiving to him I made the assumption that there was no harm in doing so.

I can remember playing the course in the 1980s and it is a great challenge, both in terms of golf and, at certain times of year, avoiding the midges.  I love this view back from the first green to the club house and I was fortunate that the sun decided to make an appearance just as I took the shot.
