How values change

This is Ls present to me, we saw it in a secondhand shop, complete with Flash and case, 15 Euros. I always remember that 25 years ago I dreamed of owning such a camera,( A Canon T70) well now I will, soon and I have not the faintest idea of how to start! The nice lady in our Camera shop put batteries and a film in it for me, and clucked like a Mother Hen as she remembered when she had one. Maybe when there is a quiet time after Xmas, she will show me the Basics, she did mention that I could take really good photos in the snow, when that returns that is.. Any one out there that can tell me what all the buttons and Gizmos are?
