Cold , wet and windy here, so no fancy Blips! These signs translate as Town Ditch or Moat and Bendy Wall, (where we live). When the citizens of Geldern got fed up with living in a Fortified town in the early 1720s they pulled down the walls, and threw the rubble in the Town Moat. About 30 years ago Speculators started building here, houses are OK but Blocks of flats no, they are quietly subsideing into the old moat, wet, cracked walls, unuseable Garages, the list grows, fortunately our house seems trouble free, . touch wood.
