Touchdown!

I returned to the pond, hoping to get a better shot of the beavers. They are very skittish! Moe and Joe were there (the pair of drakes) and an assortment of others.  I sensed something behind me and turned in time to see this Canada Goose coming in for a landing over my head!!  I ducked, he uttered a few swear honks, swerved and landed.  I stand very still for long periods to blend in, but that was ridiculous!

In extras is another 'first' for me...and Eastern Towhee.  I also got a photo of a Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher but not a very good one, sadly.  Still great to see these two birds  : )
