Community Celebration

a wonderful afternoon in the village hall with a number of people coming together from other community projects to talk about their work. MSP Micheal Russel (long time blipper Feorlean) joined the pupils from Dervaig Primary School to look around Dervaig community orchard, the community library and the recently refurbished bunk rooms in the village hall. And later giving the inaugural speech to our own group at the AGM.

The group Mull Native Woodland Group originally came together to protest about the use of Neonicotinoids when replanting trees on the hillside around us, the same hillside many of us take our water from. We succeeded and decided to constitute the group and encourage others to think more before automatically using chemicals and pesticides. All in all a very successful day.
