Out of Gas!

Happy Tuesday to all! Here is the quote of the day!

MOM!! Guess what happened? My toes are so tired. They just keep falling asleep!

Today we spent the morning at Bible study. Kids had fun, Mom had fun, it was fun for all! It was a litle rainy this morning but the day ended with some dark sky, some blue sky and a beautiful sunset. Both kids fell asleep today - so I was able to get a lot of house organizing done. It was great. When they got up, we hopped in the car and headed out of town to try and spot some animals. And of course, find a good blip!

Well, we weren't planning on going far. But we just kept going and going. Finally, we ended up at a National wildlife refuge just a few miles outside of town. We headed in there and then ended up on a 5 mile one way loop. Well, right as we were starting the loop, the gas light came on! I knew I was low, but totally spaced it. So, now, we were driving on a one way loop out in the boondocks! The kids kept asking, "are we out of gas yet?" I tried to explain that when the car stopped and we couldn't move anymore, then we were out of gas. But, they just kept asking, every minute or so!

We made it around the loop and then headed back into town. I kept spotting something pretty and actually turned off the car to preserve gas and snapped a picture and then climbed back in! Tyler sang in the back seat the whole way into town. "Come on baby! Come on baby!" when we finally pulled in to the gas station, he cheered like nothing I'd ever seen. He was so thrilled that we didn't have to spend the night out in the woods! So was I!!

This evening was full of hockey fun, bull riding, chicken and dumplings, BINGO and stories. Now, it's time to get those precious babes tucked in. Mia just arrived all decked in her jams, ready to hit the sack. Goodnight!
