Cinderella

Up very early to travel to the British Long Orienteering Championships. This was a challenge with road closures due to the Tour de Yorkshire and a Cycle Sportif.

Dogs were not allowed so we had to leave Jet at home. It did mean we were anxious to leave the event ASAP to get back in time for an afternoon walk. We just made it along the road before the peloton arrived.

I couldn’t resist this photo. Despite losing her shoe and coping with her map and si card (this records the controls visited) she was determined to complete her course!

Enjoyed my run but the terrain did not suit wonky knees. The long steep descent to the finish was particularly punishing.
