Rusty relic

This rusty old sluice mechanism is one of many alongside the Chenal de Gua. They seem to be part of an elaborate system of irrigation channels for draining the nearby marshes. These rusty old ones appear to be defunct, but there are more modern ones nearby. I'm always fascinated by old bits of engineering.
