Christmas parties

Today has been a party day! First party was the ballet party. Katie has been super excited about this one. She was really looking forward to wearing the dress. They were dancing round the room even before the party. Katie did her first Macarena, her first birdie song and several others. She had a lot of fun. Made better with lollipops and marshmallows.

We had a couple of jobs to do in town and Katie fell asleep in the hire car on the way, so snuggled in the wrap round town. We set off doing a few final drops off before we headed for our next party. The only bad bit of the day was the midjourney stop I had to make after a very spectacular case of travel sickness.

The second party of the day was a combined baby shower Christmas party with my postnatal group friends. The third mummy to have a second baby is due at new year. All 5 of my group of friends were there with all the children, which hasn't happened in a while. I love that for all the children they are just an "always has been", being around each other is just so normal for them. Yet they still love it when it happens.

Ad the nicest bit of the day? Today was me finishing for Christmas. 4full days of festive fun win my baby girl, our friends and our family.
