2014 more running needed

Waterlogged

Like much of the country our garden is wet!

I was due to be on the touchline today at AFC Fylde's away game at North Ferriby.

We set off as the pitch inspection wasn't due until 11am.

But as we headed along the motorway with no let-up in the rain it was clear we were not going to be playing today.

So it was no surprise when the call came at 11.05 to tell us the game was off.

It was a very similar picture across the country.

So this afternoon I have had time to think about puddles, ponds, lakes and seas. Chris Evans was talking about it on Radio 2 the other day but I was concentrating on my driving so I was only half listening.

I 've had a look on the web tonight and got bored reading the wickipedia blurb :)

The best answer I found to

When Does A Puddle Become A Pond And When Does A Pond Become A Lake And When Does A Lake Become A Sea?

was this:

When God wants it to happen.

That's good enough for me because it's a simple answer. And it's Christmas so let's not over-complicate things :)

Have a great Sunday. I'm doing a 5 mile race tomorrow, which should be fun as there is a lot of water on the course.
Fancy dress is almost obligatory so I think I'll go as an Olympic Swimmer!
Now, where did I put my arm bands????????
