Our roof

Mono Monday -rooftops- thanks to nikkimags888. I had been thinking that the roof of our barn conversion was quite attractive, viewed from the balcony of my "office".  Note this is our roof plus bits of 2 of the other 3 neighbours.    The roof is grey which means the mono version is pretty realistic.  I'd like to think its made of Lake District slate which perhaps it was when the barn was converted 25 years ago.  These days its cheaper to import slate from Brazil to have your roof fixed. A very sad state of affairs. 
Anyway Blip sorted which is just as well because all I've done today is visit the garden centre and pull ivy out of a flower bed. The previous owners used the house for holidays only and gardening does not appear to have been on the list of things to do when they stayed. One flower bed is an ivy jungle. Its going to take a lot of effort to clear it but we made  a start today.
