Feeding time

For a coot and its baby at Craiglockhart Pond. I think it's very often feeding time at the moment, particularly with more than one hungry baby.

T and I did the round of Blackford Pond, Craiglockhart Pond and the Union Canal, checking on baby birds. No babies on Blackford Pond, this family of coots and a family of moorhens on Craiglockhart Pond, and a swan family on the Union Canal - see the extra photo. If you look very closely you may be able to spot a cygnet on mum's back, and we were told that she had in fact had two, so that makes nine altogether.
