Monday outing

Joined the Norwegian Center for Studies of Holocaust, where I am member, to follow the route some private undercover persons used to bring Jews and other Norwegians through the woods across the border to Sweden, to escape from the Germans who occupied Norway last WW. Many were saved, some were caught and met a tragic end of their lives in Norway or Auschwitz. I have read books about this time in Noway, but  am still interested to learn and see more from it. Hard to understand how this could happen in my country, in Europe or in the world. Hard to understand that it might happen again. Not very uplifting thoughts.
