06 March 1965 I travelled to RAF Cosford, from South Shields, to start my telegraphist training.
It's hard to comprehend that it was 54 years ago.
I have a photo of me taken from the apprentice entry group photo, coincidentally 54 of us, but it is too small to be used as a Blipfoto entry.
This is me on my first leave, about 3 months later so around June/July, with my Grandmother, Mary Pattison at 12 Dunlop Crescent, South Shields. 

Never noticed before but my belt is not in line with my buttons! I'd have gotten charged for that if I'd been on parade.
