Things that go CHOMP in the night.

When I went to bed last night I was looking forward to all the tulips coming out soon and begging to be photographed. 
When I looked out this morning I discovered that several, like this pair, had been nibbled to death in the night. Chief suspects are the local hare or perhaps that marauding gang of white tailed deer.
Remedial action has been taken for the surviving tulips. Involved chicken wire. I just hope the chickens don't come looking for it !!
