Red Cowslips

On my tour of the gardens to see how the plant life is progressing, I spotted this lovely red cowslip just over the fence in the roadside snow ditch.
Progress so far in the gardens is painfully slow. It's simply too cold. 13C was seen for a short while today but things just won't thrive at 8, which has been more normal for a while now.
