Medal Routes - Morningside Library

Have any of you Scottish Blippers heard about 'Medal Routes'?  Medal Routes are circular walks which take approximately, 15mins (Bronze), 30 mins (Silver) or 60 mins (Gold). There are 57 'Medal Routes' in and around Edinburgh (which are designed to start/finish where there is a cafe) so Ann said, 'Trixie, I have got a new summer project and you can take part too. We are going to walk all the Gold Routes and that will give us something to focus on.'

When I'm a big grown up collie Ann is hoping to do much longer walks with me. But for the next few months, 60 min walks will be enough for me. Actually, all the stuff she's read on the internet says that puppies should only get 5 mins of exercise a day, per month of their life. I'm almost 6 months old, so in theory I should only be getting 30 mins of exercise a day. Ann's ignoring that rule. I'm always in energetic hyper mode!

Anyway, today we did our first 'Medal Route' (only another 56 to do) which started at Morningside Library and then took us along the canal. Check out our route here.

We both think this is going to be a really good summer project.

And in other news.................................... I went back to the vets this afternoon for my post op check up. I'm recovering really well but obviously Ann mentioned that she was very slightly concerned about my excessive weeing (I'd wet the bed again last night). The vet nurse doesn't think it's anything to worry about and thinks it will probably settle down in a week or two. However, she did say that if Ann could capture a little sample of my wee they could test it. Can't see that happening?!!!

I'm happily snoozing now. A 60 min 'medal walk' and a trip to the vets has made me tired.

Happy weekend Blippers. xxx
