Minimalism - African Tulip Tree
A walk into Funchal this morning and as we approached the park a heron flew over - unfortunately we only had our phones as we were travelling light so although we got pictures they were blurred. Walking on further I noticed this African Tulip Tree Flower on the ground and thought minimalism - I remember these as a child and we used to pick the young buds and shoot the water/sap at each other. Onwards for coffee and we went to our usual bar along the promenade - but the wind got up and the flags were horizontal and table cloths were flying off the table. Then on to the main street to see the flower carpet they were doing yesterday - 1st extra. Taxi back - lunch and a quiet afternoon at the pool. 2nd Extra is the morning sky from our room.
Very hot day with a strong breeze at times
