CHANGE OF PLANS.

Lazy start today then The Rev took me, Heather and Jane to Chaldon. The plan was to walk to Merstham (3 miles) to meet Sarah and Suzanne to do part of the North Downs (10 miles). #Sadly within 10 mins the skies opened up and we were drenched....hailstones and wind too!!! We were soaked through to our underwear!! So we walked for another 10 mins to the caravan site we store our van on and used their facilities.
#We literally had to strip off and using the hairdryers, hand driers and radiators we attempted to warm up and dry off our clothes !
We called Sarah who came to collect us :((( after a cuppa at her house we walked into Reigate and
#visited the caves. They are only open 5 days each year so it was meant to be.
#they we’re fascinating....so little is known about them but were used during the war
# we even found a great Air BnB Anderson shelter!!!
It was not the day we planned and I did really want to do a 10 miler but hey Ho we had a fabulous day full of laughter and soggy drawers!!!
