Santa calling

This afternoon I"ve been shaking a bucket for Rotary. We've been collecting for a local hospice and a childrens hospice.

The world is divided into three. Those who walk through stone faced, trolleys piled high, lots of rattling bottles, £200 spent and no 20p for charity; those who dive into their purse, raise your hopes and at the last moment slip past; and those- no distinctions in age, gender or ethnicity - who with a smile put 10p or £10 in the bucket.

And I wish that those who don't knew that - if they did - for a few minutes they would feel good about themselves and about this world.
