Mother's Day

Today is the day Americans celebrate their mothers, so here is an old photograph of my lovely mum with her two daughters -- that's my sister Suki on the left, and me on the right.  Sadly, I am the only one still living.  My mother died when I was 12 years old, and my sister died two years ago.

I'm having a difficult time with today -- despite the lovely flowers and phone calls from sons Tom and Evan, my emotions are still too raw edged since Jamie's death to cope well with this sort of "celebration".
