Mother's Day

Its a sometimes tradition to have a family picnic on Mother’s day.. take out food (fish and chips for most of us) …close by at Gasworks Park.  DIL A and Nik were late because of Basketball but eventually all were  there. (extra: early with the skyline, which we were struck is very different from past years here in 2013   the other extra is photographer Nanna, later,  from our roof deck looking at Gasworks where we were.)… Nik was tired out from 2 basketball games today.   H and I went to the first one…it was great..I think Nik had 25 points and the team was looking like a team…In fact we thought maybe it was a win…in the last 3 seconds, the other team who was trailing by 3 made the last second circus shot from the center line at the buzzer…and swish, in it went!!!   Wow. Very fun to see. !! they ended up winning in overtime…that was too much to overcome I guess.   But a fun game, nevertheless and great to have dinner together with such a wonderful and appreciated family!  DIL A doesn’t have to go to work tomorrow but plans for interviews are in place.,   Hope she gets a little break..thank you for all the concern for her getting RIFed last week.
