Yesterday's walk

... viewed from the air as we took off from Sydney airport early this afternoon. You can see a series of beaches in successive bays, the nearest (if I'm not mistaken) being Bondi.

We're now in Brisbane and have had a first, short wander in the dark. Some lovely lighting around the town centre and a nice feel to the place. (The flight doesn't take that long but, as we've found with each leg of our tour, it ends up consuming virtually a whole day what with packing, checking in early, picking up baggage*, transferring to hotel, unpacking.) Good news for our aching joints and muscles: for the first time in a month our room has a bath as well as a shower - and we're both looking forward to a hot soak.

*Another first: not only did my case and Mr PP's arrive side by side on the baggage carousel, but they were also the very first to appear!

Thank you so much for all the enthusiastic responses to my yesterblipped flying foxes. It was such a thrill to see the lovely critters.
