It's not just us!

Seems we're not the only ones to walk upside down in Oz. This sculpture is near the cultural board walk beside the river in Brisbane. I'm sure you'll agree, it had to be blipped. My extras are a water installation outside Queensland Art Gallery, where each fountain shimmers like a dandelion clock. The other is a bird perched on the Kurilpa Bridge that caught my eye. Not sure what it is, but it might be one of the Miner family.

The Queensland Museum and Art gallery are both excellent. Enjoyed a tour of Aboriginal art, much linked to ancient tribal stories and cultural traditions, some with a western influence - very attractive.

Heading to the theatre shortly (it's evening in Brisbane) to see the musical The Book of Mormon. Never seen it, but I believe it's supposed to be very funny. Off we go ...

PS Edit to add that the artist is a New Zealander Michael Parekowhai. Thanks to NZ blipper cabbagetree for providing the link to the artist and the background to this sculpture.
