Best time of the year

The look of my garden that I love best - the blue/pink/purple look of May, before the yellows and flames take over and the path vanished after the first rain makes everything droop. None of this has anything to do with me - apart from the philadelphus (not out yet) and the berberis (boring till October) all this stuff was in the garden when we bought the house 44 years ago.The sun is warm and the neighbours peaceful.
