Small Copper
Fife Butterflies.
This afternoon I went to check out the local Northern Brown Argus colony but nothing yet.
However, I did see a small heath and a couple of small coppers. The small heath was uncooperative. Three times I pointed the camera in its direction and each time it flew on before the camera could focus. The small copper (Lycaena phlaeas) was a little more amenable.
Whites were really common (around 30 of them) but apart from being able to ID 5 male orange tips, one green-veined white and one small white, the others will have to remain anonymous.
I also saw one peacock.
Tomorrow, I intend to visit Lochore Meadows to see what is around.
