as in bread -

brioche... a wonderful eggy - buttery - bread - that provides instant comfort... along with an immediate warm fuzzy - all in one slice, or more, of yeasty goodness! i don't know about you - but for me - bread falls into that category of helping to make me feel better - like chicken and dumplings or mac 'n cheese or yes, chocolate... the smell - the aroma - the taste - simply does it for me...

i walked into one of our neighborhood bakeries - hoping to get a loaf of warm, out-of-the oven bread - and instead entered into an environment filled with freshly baked goods for the holiday - eggnog bread... cinnamon muffins - doughy dinner cresent rolls - mixed croutons for dressing - and this most wonderful brioche - one of my favorite breads of all time... i was able to say no to almost everything else - aside from standing in sensory overload - but felt the need to indulge in the brioche... suddenly i was picturing french toast - bread pudding - simply toasted and slathered with butter - what more did i want - to make for...
