kingy
Firstly, thank you for all the comments stars and hearts for yesterdays cuckoo, I am quite surprised how many of you are actually hearing cuckoos in certain parts of the country. It's been such a long time since I heard them. Let's hope they are on the way back.
A thoroughly enjoyable morning photographing kingfishers. Although when I got home I was hit by a sickness virus that has accounted for half of the kids at Lesley's pre school being off. Consequently I had no appetite to sort through my photos yesterday. I still haven't today really but I've been through enough to blip these 3 shots. The first extra shows the bird coughing up a pellet. The 2nd extra shows mud on the females beak, so I assume she is preparing a nest. Possibly a second brood.
