The winged messenger - and I know how he feels! Jemma and I have done Maidstone for gifts and Waitrose for provisions. Nice cup of tea and a mince pie before heading to Tenterden to get the Sherry Elf. This lovely bit of statuary is above the door of the now closed main Post Office in Maidstone.
