An Auto...2 Days in a Row

We were supposed to have some major rain storms today, but...at 4:30 p.m., we haven't had much of anything.

Still, after having a 2 p.m. appointment at the local funeral home, it was raining, and this old 1937 Buick was talking to me. "Take my picture! Take my picture!" So, I did.

Speaking of the funeral home...on Wednesday, I will be presiding over my first funeral service. My brother-in-law Steve's mother has passed away, and he asked me if I would do the service. In spite of my misgivings...I have agreed to do it. At the meeting, the funeral organizer asked me..."Should I call you Reverend or Pastor?" I answered..."You can call me neither. You can call me Tim."

I need to get my mind working in the next couple of days, and decide what I want to say and do, and hopefully...God will help me get through it. (I get way too emotional when I speak on certain subjects...such as family, motherhood, and death.)

This is one of the 3 classic cars that the funeral home owns. It's a beauty, ain't it?

P.S. 46 years ago today, I waited next to my father (a real minister) in front of the church, and accepted my bride-to-be as she was escorted down the aisle by her dad. Good times...good memories.
