The Shopping Forecast

Was up early at 5:30 this morning to take Greg to work for 6am. The radio alarm was set to Radio 4, so I woke up to the Shipping Forecast. What joy, I love the simple poetry of this ... it could be in a foreign language but I just love the rhythm and mystique of the words....

.. when I saw Tesco's car park deserted just before Christmas Eve opening, I had an idea ... so here is the Shopping Forecast:

Car park, rain at times, empty, becoming full.
Supermarket shelves, initially full, empty later.
Staff, at first steady, rising to gale force later.
Shoppers finances, initially moderate, becoming poor.
Car park, still raining, full becoming empty.
Supermarket, stormy, becoming calm.
Christmas spirit, initially poor, becoming good.
