very unexpected

I had some puss moths hatch a week or so ago, but I didn't realize they had mated let alone lay huge numbers of fertile eggs!
I was checking my emergence cage today, and inside were a large number of tiny first instar Puss moth larvae......and so it begins.
I will raise a few, give a few to others to raise and the remainder I will release on the bush I found the larvae on last year.
