Pride

I don't usually find myself in church on a Thursday morning. And certainly not such an exceptional building as St. Cuthberts. However that was where Ruby's choir were performing in the final of the Edinburgh school choir competition.

And, they won. For the second year in a row. The adjudicator gave them the only "outstanding" mark that she's given this year.

So, it's another year ahead of gigging at the likes of Murrayfield and St Andrew Square. In the next month they'll be on stage at the Queens Hall and sharing a bill with Eddie Reader, Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham.

For a group of primary school kids they put in a huge amount of effort and it's great to see all that hard work paying off.

I also learned that it's not the done thing to whoop and whistle when the results are announced at these events.
