Today is hubbys birthday so I’d arranged a trip around Cruachan Power Station as it’s somewhere he’d wanted to visit. The morning was going well with everyone loaded into vehicles ahead of schedule. Things rapidly went downhill when juniors car wouldn’t start...realisation gradually dawned on him that he’d filled it with petrol instead of diesel yesterday!! We left the pair of them to sort out the mess and with a £300 cost I don’t think he’s likely to do it again!!
The rest of us enjoyed our day...after our trip round Cruachan (1,3,5,6 and 11) we headed to Kilchurn Castle (4 and 7) the scene of today’s gruesome find...there were numerous dead fish carcasses lying both in and out of the water! Lunch in Inveraray, ice cream at Lochgilphead before driving down to Crinan to see the canal (2,8,9 and 10). Fifteen lochs over nine miles to save a trip down and around the Mull of Kintyre!
The lights inside the tunnel at Cruachan looked very artistic...thanks to BobsBlips for hosting Wide Wednesday.
