Regular listeners to Test Match special will be familiar with Geoffrey Boycott banging on about this (most likely with a ‘stick of rooooobaaarrrrb’).

It seems appropriate at the moment though. Theresa’s ‘Bold’ offer has gone down like a bucket of cold manure - mainly because it is the same rubbish hastily re-gifted.

Cabinet ministers appear to be lining up to knife her from all angles, a bit like Murder on the Orient Express, if it was re-imagined as a zombie movie where the victim refused to die.

I genuinely worry that she will literally be dragged out of number 10, kicking and screaming. And then I hate to think which of the many nightmare options will replace her.

Is there no end to it?
