Ash Island Sunset

I had to work in Maitland today.  As a consequence I left a little to go home earlier than I would normally and around sunset decided to pull off the road to Ash Island which I passed on the way home to see what was doing and put Buzz up.   There are usually quite a few birds and butterflies around there. 

Buzz's shots were boring to say the least and I couldn't get close enough to get a good enough shot of the black shouldered kite (extra) which was scared off by an unthoughtful motorist. Don't they have the reddest of eyes.   There was however a reasonably nice reflection of the meagre sunset on the river so that will have to do.
