Green Roofs

A very interesting morning learning about green and living roofs. Something I am going to pick up further in the day job.

The venue was “The Vic”. I know Salford Quays well, and this was a new one on me. Turns out it is the rebranded Harbour City. This big office, built when the Quays was designated an Enterprise Zone in the early 1990’s (with planning relaxations and tax advantages) has been completely refurbished. Impressive.

The blip is reflections of the bridge across Erie Basin in the water. No processing involved at all. I love the squiggly shapes and lines, lots of different layers involved here.

The extra is the view of Mariners Canal from The Vic. Youngsters from the Watersports Centre can be seen practicing their kayaking skills.
